Laurence Wilson
The original plan [before buying the Seven] was to rebuild with a bike engine. Only I couldn't decide which ... 'blade ?? R1 ?? GSXR ?? Except through all the dithering I've grown quite attached to my Crossflow and I want to keep the H pattern box and, I rediscovered the Escort axle in the back of the garage prompting a desire for something with silly torque. I REALLY do want something different, tho' ... and the crossflow (while full of character) ain't that. Duratec ?? Would be a bit costly. Now I think I've finally come to my senses. I've found an Eaton E45 supercharger off a BMW Mini Cooper S for sale near to uni !! Any thoughts 😬 ?? Pear shaped

Badger Bill
Have you tried an R1/Blade/zx12/Busa engined seven or LSIS yet? I'm not sure that you would be asking these questions if you had... Life begins at 10k BB

Laurence Wilson
But I can almost PICTURE in my head how I can get this supercharger to work [ drool smilie ] !! I think a Mexico / Sport inlet manifold will suit - and I've got two in my posession !! If I mount the charger on the near side of the engine off a bracket bolted to the exhaust manifold flange of cylinders two and three; I can run pipework over the top of the rocker cover; I'll need a single venturi carb ?? A BIG one ?? Start with light boost I'll leave intercoolers and injection till I want more power. Now where can I get parts cast ?? I'd like the pipework to flatten and widen as it passes over the rocker cover; and I'll need a pimpy new rocker cover machined with ribs on top like wot Burton do but with a lowered section the pipework can sit in for bonnet clearance !! Muah ha ha 😬 !! Pear shaped
owelly
I have a list of cast companies that were interested in doing small batch work if you're interested? They all wanted too much money to make an alloy bellyhousing for my Alfa engine so I made a couple myself out of steel. Bit heavy but not as heavy as standard ford thingy......I'm rambling. Sorry. I'll take my boots off before I trample all over the shed carpet its only a game.........
Laurence Wilson
I reckon I'll look up some local businesses once I've got a design finished. The blower on ebay remains a very attractive price. I'll jump in late with my bid, I think ... like a ninja in the shadows ... or something !! Pear shaped
