Nope, my latest copy cost a fiver about two months back, so you have probably got the patches on the disk already, you'll just have to go in a run them after installing the game.

The best site for cars and sounds is here get your tracks from here and here

Make sure that you sort out the core.ini file with the two or three lines to enable your force feedback!

At BB's last link, under utilities/other stuff you'll find "GPL Race Length Editor Change the race length for any race mode. By Tony Whitley."

Delbert, I'd advise going straight to here to download the GPL 2004 demo - it has the patches and a very good selection of updates. Although it says demo it's the complete program you've just bought except that it only has one track. You can copy the others from your CD, though you'll need to copy season.ini (it lists the tracks that are installed) too. Details here

What's this about an online race 🤔

The record is 1:26, so I guess that anything near 1:40 should be OK?

I'll have a trundle round tonight and see what I get, I must admit to spending most of my time on the 'ring, or lemans full version. That said, donnington and oulton are fun, as I sort of know them already in real life.

woo hoo! *smile* 😬 *thumbup*

I've just fired it up - obviously the sound driver update worked for me.

I've just posted a 1:31.46 and 1:30.58 in my old 10-lap spec Lotus.

I can see from some of my old replays that I've been down to the low 1:29s in the past.

We could pick somewhere else (I only really know Monza, Milano (Monza backwards with the banking) and that's about it - for a good race (esp. with novices), we need somewhere uncomplicated, relatively easy to master, and without any really nasty gotcha corners.

Just gonna have a look at Kyalami - ISTR that wasn't too bad.
