smithj41
It will be my first year sprinting, and was wondering if anyone could help with selecting tryes from list 1a. Thanks in advance. Area Representative Richard Price Posted February 28, 2005 Area Representative Share Posted February 28, 2005 James, The answer last year would have been bridgstone RE720's, but supplies seem to have dried up. What tyres are you running at the moment? What sprints are you planning to do? Whilst RE720's are very popular, no list 1a tyre grips very well. If its yor first year sprinting, there will be more to come from you than the tyres.
smithj41
Richard Cheers, I am running 21's and 32r's at the moment but want to run in class 4. The tyres I have would put me in 5 :-( I am hoping to do Curbrough, Harewood, Aintree, Mira, and a couple of others. Still trying to get a new axle fitted!! Area Representative Richard Price Posted February 28, 2005 Area Representative Share Posted February 28, 2005 James, Why not run your A032's, and run in Class 5? You'll find the competition fierce, in either class! You may be better off driving on tyres that you know, rather than list 1a's with limited grip! smithj41
I have sent off my entry form would it be too late to swap? South Yorkshire Se7ens
Area Representative Richard Price Posted February 28, 2005 Area Representative Share Posted February 28, 2005 I have sent off my entry form would it be too late to swap? 🤔Lotus 7 Club Speed Championship 🤔 If so, just drop Bacon Butty a line, and I'm sure he'll amend your entry. Gambo
Or do what I did at my first event. misread the form entered class4 with o32's and promptley got protested and bumped up. 😬 either way as has been mentioned, competition is close in both classes, so unless you feel you could win your first event, better to drive on tyres you know to get the feel for sprinting. She's finally Home!!!!!!!!!
