Normans_Ghost
As if I didn't have enough to do. Got engine out tonight, new pressure plate and CRB (correct one this time) to hand. Centre plate splines are stripped! see here Norman Verona, 1989 BDR 220bhp, Mem No 2166, the full story here
Myles
I don't believe how much grief there is out there - Alex Wong, you, me, V7SLR..... Maybe I wasn't paying attention last year, but I can't remember so many upgrades failing to deliver... Project Scope-Creep is underway... Normans_Ghost
Mine may be self inflicted (kidding myself again). The CRB fro the original Super Clutch has a 50mm thrust point centre. The correct one for the AP is 54mm and a lot thicker. Has this put strain on the diaphragm which in turn has damaged the centre plate splines? As I said, kidding myself. Myles
Spank me with a herring! It's ages to Haggislander... ...it's about five-days until my date at Emerald. henry21p
my build has been held up due to the wiring loom. We didn't realise that despite caterham using the newer VVC engines in the R300 cars, they were using the older VVC ECU prepared with an EU3 plug on it... (or something). As a result, Clive has had to prepare a custom wiring loom for me which has taken ages (I really hope it hasn't been too expensive. aaargh. Good news - apollo tank is in, cooling system is in, engine is in....
