Big Brother
Just about to order a new steering wheel in a bid to get more legroom in my short cockpit 7. I currently have a 260mm wheel but am replacing it with a new flat bottomed type steering wheel. This is because the tops of my legs are touching the bottom of the steering wheel and this makes moving my left leg under the clutch pedal difficult. The sizes available for the new wjeel are either 255mm or 240mm diameter. As most Momo wheels are around 260mm diameter - would a 240mm diameter wheel be too small for use in a 7? Steve SE7EN-UP! Mick Day
Depends on how strong your arm muscles are Also do you want to be able to view your speedo & tacho 🤔 However your leg problem may determine the diameter. I still think a 270mm gives the best of all worlds with a 22% quick rack.
I.Mupferit
I told you Steve, you need the Allegro 'Quartic' steering wheel. Either that or lipo-suction to the thighs. Come on man, think laterally. 😬 Brent 2.3 DURATEC SV. Gad these things are expensive ❗
LazerBrain
I think my idea of liposculpture was better cheers, Darren.
Marcusbell
I am 6'2" and had problems with my knees touching the wheel I changed it for a 240 Racetech D-shape wheel and it is perfect (and cheap). I have loads of leg room and I don't have any problems turning the wheel. However, if I'm wearing thick gloves I can't see ANY of the speedo and the wheel obscures the flashing green indicator light. A small price to pay. Marcus
