oldbutnotslow Posted February 15, 2005 Share Posted February 15, 2005 Following an engine compression problem identified 2 days ago, it is highly likely that I will be trading up from the current pair of Piper BP270H fast road cams to a higher spec. These cams have literally done 25 miles since they were installed new by Dave Andrews of DVA power fame in late January and as such are in absolutely as new condition. I was expecting 160 + BHP as a result of fitting these to an otherwise standard head. The compression problem will mean that the engine will have to come apart at which time I will upgrade the pistons and head and will want to take advantage of the extra power available by fitting hotter cams. If you are interested let me know. I have not yet decided on an asking price but obviously it will be less than the cost of a new pair.
