Mark Durrant
I now have in my possession a set of Caterham roller barrels that need an overhall. I intend to strip them down and get the ally castings shot blasted as they are a little corroded. Is there anything I need to watch out for etc when taking them apart and any tips on putting them back together 🤔 TIA  Mark D Su77on Se7ens

Rob Walker
I would advise you send tham back to Titan Motorsport ( 01480 474402 )for overhaul, the last thing you want is for them to stick wide open.
Peter T
Unless you are on a race track 😬 Mark they are probably not worth trying to overhaul yourself, as they will need to be checked for alignment, certain springs will of course need to be changed , and then you have the problem of re assembly, if they are anything like the Swindon versions, leave well alone.  Watch This Space....Get it ? PaulD
I would immagine that the surface finish of the bores and of the barrels run in is very important. I would think that it should be protected from any blasting and if you intend to get them re-anodised, check that they were not done with anything special such as Apticote or PTFE anodising. Paul
