Preparing for Track Days

It was my great pleasure to be out instructing members of the club on track days throughout 2004. However, I couldn't help but notice how ill-prepared many of the members were to make the most of the expensive track time.

Advanced knowledge of the circuit is invaluable and leads to greater safety and faster lap times. Some of us old hands still spend at least an hour the night before each event reading and learning the track plans and notes to create mental pace notes for the following day. It is strongly recommended.

Can I encourage drivers for this season's events to invest a few pounds in 'UK Circuit Guide' it will be a sound investment and could prevent you from bending your car or your fragile body - seriously. Contact Melindi Scott at Gold Track Driving Club - melindi@goldtrack.co.uk or 01327 361361 for copies or any other supplier. (This is not an advert, rather a helpful suggestion from an independent third party)
