Mrs GTD
I've just bought a new iron (actually it's GTD's Valentines present, but don't tell him or it will spoil the surprise ) and I'm worried it's the Chav version. When I plugged it in the insides lit up NEON BLUE *eek* Mrs GTD
Dirty Den
Nope, it would be the chav version if it had a burberry cover or the make of the iron emblazed all across the front of it Den http://www.dens7.co.uk
Debert
Ace But did you get the optional carbon fibre footplate ? Is it painted or bare ali ? Lee
OOoooooh!!! I'm getting a new iron this weekend, I was going for a Tefal fv9140, but if your one lights up in neon....
Mrs GTD
Don't buy a T*fal (my opinion and not that of L7C etc, etc...) The new Phillips Azure 4200 is to replace a very expensive Tefal model that seemed to find the concept of producing steam quite beyond its design specifications. neil.cavanagh
mine was about £7 from Tescos and works great!! I was really disappointed that I couldn't spend loads on a top notch gadget iron to satisfy the little boy in me (he who dies with the most toys wins) as the cheapo (Phillips I think) one from Tescos works great!! rossybee
Can't believe I'm contributing to a thread aboot irons 😳 Mrs B got herself one of those sooper-dooper ones with the seperate water container & it produces heaps of steam - the young lad runs when it's on She didn't like it when I commented that it was just a glorified wallpaper stripper Scottish SuperSnot! here
Buda
mine is the Philips 'azure precise 4340' - mines black, not cordless but it has a ball and socket cord attatchment, anyway, off to the pub now.

FH
Iron? What's an 'iron'? What I need is an 'ironing lady' 😬 Oops! Sorry... 'ironing person' Visions of Nirvana... "Hello. How good of you to visit." "The pile of ironing is in the laundry room. Top of the stairs, first door on the left" "Take care, there are four separate piles, all about a metre high." "Do you take sugar in your tea?" THUD! Reality hits hard. I just checked and the ironing is still there ☹️ Looks like Mr Polti and I are due for a steamy session sometime soon 😳 FH
