Bluebottle
Anybody want to get rid of their paint job and return to bare ali.......use Nitromors for wood and metal (green tin). Wait one minute after applying, the paint and primer curl up and just drop off. Wipe with a rag to remove the rest, wash down with soap and water....job done. I did two whole sides in about 30 mins. To get the smooth polished look, first use very fine wet and dry followed by Mothers...looks ideal.
Big Brother
Interesting and very tempting! However I was under the impression that the ali was treated (chemicaly) prior to being painted and this meant that it would appear dull and patchy. Bluebottle
I treated a pair of side panels I got from Simon Ray, the panels must be a few years old. There was absolutely no problem, the treated aluminium is smooth and blemish free, just needs something like Mothers/Autosol etc..for that lasting sheen.
