eric
I have 6 louvers on my sprint bonnet. When it is raining and the car at an outside car park, or at low speed under heavy rain, the water comes inside the bonnet and falls in the cocpit where the legs usually are. I would like to know if I can close the two louvers near the windscreen. Thanks for all advises
Pierre Gillet
This happens sometime on my 1.6K. I think rain goes through the heating system. I tighten up regularly the screws that are attaching the heater black plastic box to the aluminium of the engine bay. Pierre
EFA
I have only 4 louvres in my bonnet, having removed the two above the inlet manifold. I've noticed no side effect of doing so, so reckon you could tank tape up the others from underneath without problems. Try it, you can always remove the tape! excess baggage
I'm going to keep asking until I get an answer. Where's the bloody 'back' button gone?
mav
Eric, Remove the bonnet and check the outer edges of the bulk head. I too noticed this phenomonen of indoor rain after washing the car etc. I found that there ware two small holes which were not sealed - i presume there were intended as drain holes. I have sealed them up, and the problem seems to have gone away, and there appear to be no adverse side effects. Hope this helps. wink.gif Regards Mav
