Normans_Ghost
The RST V8 is priced at 18k without a blower, thats circa 350 bhp. With a blower it's 500bhp but don't know price. So on a price per BHP, the RST V8 wins. but it hasn't the pedigree the BD engine has. Nearly 40 years old and still winning competions. Coose
There's nowt wrong wi' York Norm! Shall I tell you an interesting story? Are we sitting comfortably? Right, I'll begin.... A mate of owellys and mine is building a mk2 Escort rally unit as a replica of his dads old RAC-entered beastie, and very nice it is too! It has one of his dads old BDA's being installed as we speak. His dad has a fine collection of many BDA's for the chap in question to have a go at when he blows this one up!!!!! But believe me, it WILL get used..... 😬 We went to a track day early last year at Langbaurgh (Teesside Autodrome) and the chap in question brought alond his battered old oil-burning autotest Mini. He seriously embarrased most of the NE-Elise club! We will mend it We will fix it...
