Support Team Shaun_E Posted January 30, 2005 Support Team Share Posted January 30, 2005 As per the title - anyone know what size they should be? Its the ones that bolt the mount to the chassis I need. Another item that has disappeared since I dismantled the car although I seem to remember them being more rust than bolt so may well have chucked them. elie boone
I've used simple M8 bolts or u can use the inch eqivalent 7/16 ?
Normans_Ghost
The imperial size is 5/16 UNF which is 1/2" AF (across flats) I've cut 2 setscrews short and with 2 small plates welded the heads to the edge of the mounting. Much easier to get on/off. Norman Verona, 1989 BDR 220bhp, Mem No 2166, the full story here Edited by - nverona on 30 Jan 2005 18:29:
I.Mupferit
The present supply by CC are M8 x 20 hexagon setscrews and nyloc nuts. You can get them in Halfords. Brent 2.3 DURATEC SV. Gad these things are expensive ❗
Joe 90
5/16" UNF on mine, but M8 is close enough. SEP field working, not spotted in 103,100 miles. Some photos on webshots, updated 25 Jan
