Lotus ‘7’ club member 5087 Matthew Plummer is running in the London Marathon 25th Anniversary this year he is aiming to raise £2000 and beyond for the club charity Leukaemia Research. Those of you that do not know him - after suffering an almost fatal accident as a passenger in a RTA Friday 13th December 1996 having his pelvis smashed in pieces overcoming a serious head injury which at 22 years old had to re-learn how to walk talk and communicate.. parents where told that he would more than likely never walk unaided for the rest of his life to then come back to prove all specialists wrong and run 5 marathons in four years, run the full summer series cross country events only to snap his right leg on the final running around Rudyard Lake, has now recuperated, got back into running and has had the entry rolled over from last year when he could not enter as both bones (tib&fib) were still broken, to run in this years Marathon he has got his own place but has offered to run for our Lotus 7 Club charity Leukaemia Research. Please support, possibly, his last running of the London Marathon here

Supreme effort.

 

Since I ducked out for the last two years with pathetic injuries relative to that, I'll throw £50 into the hat.

jellybelly, you don't have to send any money till he's done. Just pray the cat keeps well.

 

Not everyone has to go as mad as Nift, the GTD's and us.

 

Mat says a pound will do as it's a pound more than before.

 

So come on you lot a few quid each will do.

Surprised that more people haven't pledged money, perhaps they are put of by others generosity.

 

Just to help people feel ok with putting down less than £50, I'll donate £10 *smile*

 

Good luck to him, I ran a half marathon a few years ago and it nearly killed me!
