Lights Flickering

Slipper man

Recommended Posts

I have just bought an AC, and when the engine is running and the lights are on, all the lights have a slight 'flicker' that has a similar frequency to the engine revs. This affects all the lights - headlights, interior, instruments, etc.

presumably it is some kind of a problem with the voltage regulator or something. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Coo, nice car. I'd start with a run round the alternator circuit with a multimeter. Assuming this all checked out OK then it seems like you need a trip to an auto elec who can check the thing in detail. It's strange though, thinking about it a big lead acid battery would surely damp any voltage flutter. You sure it's not just the massive throbbing V8 shaking the filaments? 😬
