CageyH Posted January 22, 2005 Share Posted January 22, 2005 After having been out for a blat, and having suffered from some cooling system problems, I returned home and checked the car. It would appear I have a small hole in the radiator, as steam can be seen escaping. I have read through the various posts on the forum about the different radiators, but which one should I go for? The car is a 1.6 K series SS, but has other plans. It will be upgraded this year to approx 180-190 BHP. Will the standard Caterham alloy road rad be sufficient? I am yet to track the car. Has anyone used the Radtec product? I understand some split? Rob Walker Posted January 22, 2005 Share Posted January 22, 2005 Very dissappointed with the Caterham Race triple pass rads. I have had three and they all started leaking within six months of use. IMO they are not engineered properly as the side tanks are only held by the core there is no bracing between the tanks and with use the seal fails between the side tanks and the core.
