Leadership Team Mcalvert Posted January 20, 2005 Leadership Team Share Posted January 20, 2005 I've just discovered that one of the clips that holds on the distributor cap on my Xflow has gone missin during its recent engine rebuild. The company who rebuilt it are trying to source one for me quickly, but I was hoping to get the engine back in this weekend with the help of good Mr Chiswick. Other than scouring scrappies (do you even still get them these days?!?) doesn anyone have any ideas where I could talk to? Thanks & regards, Michael. Sheds Moderator
Go to a motor factor (Partco etc) who will have the relevant clip for pennies. Or a Ford dealer.
Leadership Team Mcalvert Posted January 20, 2005 Author Leadership Team Share Posted January 20, 2005 No luck so far. Ford main dealer says that it's no longer available ☹️ Michael.

Graham Sewell
For the rest of us xflow'ers. Where did you source the clip from? Low tech luddite - xflow and proud!
Leadership Team Mcalvert Posted January 20, 2005 Author Leadership Team Share Posted January 20, 2005 James Whiting happened to have one on the shelf. Looks like the moral of the story is that these are getting like hen's teeth and should not be lost Michael.
JampJ
You can also drill and tap the distributor, so you can use scews. Cheers J&J
