It is indeed normally spelt Ciarán (pronounced Keer-awn), but the fada is sometimes dropped from the second a, which would change the pronunciation to Keer-uhn. Depending on from which version the English spelling derives, you will then get either of Kieron (the equivalent of Ciarán) or Kieran (the equivalent of Ciaran). You sometimes also see Anglicised versions that replace the K with C, hence Ciaron, etc etc.
