robmar
ok I think it is about time we changed the class structrures, based on the various other threads Class 1 - this is for acadamey spec cars, must run original tyres (not replacements) as competed in during the year the car was eligible for the academy, must havecolour scheme to match the prisoner car, inlcuding the interior Class 2 - this is for totally standard K series powered cars as supplied by caterham, no modifications what so ever for any engine variant, must run with SVA trim and cat where neccersary. All consumables must be purchased direct from caterham, and petrol must be bought within a 5 mile radius of the factory at dartford. All other engine variants are allowed especially if they are all steel variants. Cars must not be painted and only factory supplied glass fibre nose cone and wheel arches allowed. Must run on list 1a tyres, but only ones ever supplied on new caterhams, so Michelin pileups, or avon cr322. No bike derived engines. Class 3 - same as class 2, except list 1b tyres allowed an cars must be driven backwards around the course, except if they have an all steel engine in which case they can drive forwards. Cars must have a bonnet stripe as supplied by caterham when the car was new. Class 4 - for K series cars not running standard prod pleum and VVC, plus all other engine variants that do nto fall into class1-3. Bikes engine cars are allowed as long as they are v-twins. Cars are expected to run with full weather gear on at all times, even if we are expereincing a mini heat wave in wales. Cars that have any carbon fibre are exluded from this class, as are cars that are green, yellow, blue or orange. Must run with list 1a tyres in a minimum size of 16". Class 5 - like class 4, except tyres where a single set of yoko 48's will be used by all competitors. yellow cars are also allowed. Any cars with decals that spell out words such as r300, r400, r500, VHPD, SLR, cateham, superlight, vauxhall are not eligible Class 6 anything else! All cars entering class 1-5 will be expected to drive to every event with petrol sourced form a pump within 20 miles of an approved caterham service agent. Class 6 cars will be expected to arrive dangling under a chinouk {sic} helicopter. seems fair to me all in favour say aye 😬 rob

Jason Plato
Ohh dear , but one question remains ........... can you run a 52mm throttle body 😬
robmar
Ken - kind off 😬 Dave - clearly if the car came as supplied with a 52mm tb and conformed to the other regs a stated then either class 2 or 3 would be ok. Otherwise class 6 anyone know a good place to source a 2nd hand chinouk that I can part ex the alfa on rob
