neil.cavanagh
normal 1 hour drive from home to Thurrock turned into a nightmare today. There has been a BIG fire (still going apparently) in the warehouse opposite my clients, so half the dartford tunnel is still shut. Result... 10 mile stationary jam on M25. After sitting in it for an hour or so I gave up and took some country roads and after another hour (to do about 4 miles) made it to my hotel. So I'm now sitting in the bar on BT wireless interweb thingy pretending to do some work!!! I can see this not being a very productive day!! neil.cavanagh
well I do live at the far end of Surrey... its about 60 miles, so I think 1 hour on the m25 isn't bad!
Asker of daft questions
I'm stunned, it takes me more than an hour to get to the tunnel from here during the rush hour. I don't think I ever manage to average 60 on the M25 when it's the least bit busy Hhhhmmm, yummy grass
neil.cavanagh
well I do avoid the worse of rush hour.. If I leave home at 9am I'm in work for 10m. I'm sure if I tried to leave home at say 7:30 I wouldn't be in work until 9:30!!
