owlscastle
Does anyone have a spare EU2 loom, or better still swap my EU3 loom for and EU2 before I start hacking about to fit an Emerald plug to it ? Worth asking, you never know your luck. Ritchie
Myles
Ritchie, I take it you've considered building a converter Project Scope-Creep is underway... Alcester Racing 7's Equipe - 🙆🏻™ Alcester-Racing-Sevens.com
owlscastle
Yes, but I will never use the EU3 ECU, I dont have one anyway, so not expecting tofind anyone to swap I will cut the existing plug off and connect the Emerald style plug on. Ive seen the diagram that your link points to, I assume it is correct with no known errors? Thanks Ritchie
Myles
Sadly, there appear to be a number of errors (or undocumented changes) introduced by Caterham into their looms - to the best of my knowledge, my map is correct and documents the only major difference I've found in my loom. There's a thread in Chitchat right now ("DVA upgrade" about someone (Grant) who has just got their car running using a converter built from my info. - but as you'll read, they made some last minute changes too (it is currently unclear whether this was a red-herring, due to mistakes in the original construction or due to the use of EU2 injectors (swapping back to EU3's seems to have made the difference...) If you've no intention to use an EU3 in the future, you might as well go ahead and butcher or replace the loom - it will be more reliable, lighter and easier... Project Scope-Creep is underway...
