eric
CR 500 seems to be a very good all round (wet and dry use) Anybody knows if, I can use on a De dion 1989 specs sprint Caterham (front roll bar as a part of the front suspension, or is it a too old model ? I have 15" wheels, could I use them ? Could you give the exact size in 13" wheels Many thanks
Alex Wong1697456877
You need 13 inch wheels (they only come in 13") I've fitted them to 6x13 wheels front and back - the big rears can get on a 6 inch rim but they're now on 6 inch fronts and 7 inch rears. Mike C.
I can confirm that the CR500s are excellent, I have previously used ACB10s, AO21Rs and AO32Rs and, as a road/track, wet/dry compromise the CR500s work very well (at a price!). Like Alex, I found the best arrangement was to have the 175s on 6x13 fronts and the 205s on 7x13 rears. I don't know if this is a common problem, but I did have some 'run out' on one of the front tyres, making it difficult to balance, but Avon exchanged it for a new one.
