Dave,

How can you get so grubby.

The job is so simple I could do it in a white Armani suit

As I have explained before

1)give your credit card to man in Blue overalls

2) retire to pub

3) return and sign piece of paper

Where are power tools needed in that procedure 🤔 😬

OK

When a fettler as opposed to a profit making engimineer is doing job

1) turn up at House ,

2) Hand over car keys to the on looking the most excited

3) drink beer

4) make interested noises

5)Take out Fettler, Fettlers partner/spouse ,credit card and eat drink and be merry

I might add that this is a significantly better option

update - hammerite + hair = pain. Lots of pain.

anti-rust product (contains phosphoric acid) + crap jumpers that grandma gave me last christmas = good moth effect on jumper.

I've hammerited my car! woohoo.

Now got to work out where all the bits go.

FINISHED!

Managed to get the arse end of my car back together with NO left over nuts/washers/key parts.

I then discovered exactly HOW sticky spray underseal was. 'Nother serious hair scrubbing later and I look a little bit less like cousin it from the addams family.

IMMENSE SATISFACTION here at the moment.

God I ache...

Whilst myles is correct, as is norman - you have to consider that bare metal was really rubbish at not going rusty and needs must!

Unlike a 7, the 21 is a bugger to get apart to access the chassis, so hammerite (as it was to hand) made the best, easiest and quickest choice!

And besides, it SOUNDS better than the alternatives. mmaybe I can use whatever the alternative products are next time to cover the bits of hammerite that have gone rusty?
