owlscastle
Has anyone got a spare spacer that is used between the bellhousing and a gearbox wit a long input shaft. Cant get one from Caterham until 5th as the factory is closed. (assuming they still do them !) and I need to get on. Thanks in anticipation. John Howe
Is it not possible to take an angle grinder to the last 25mm? It worked for me... JH Deliveries by Saffron, the yellow 222bhp Sausage delivery machine
owlscastle
Ah, if it was that simple. I need a 10-12mm spacer to set the splines right for the clutch and because my bellhosuing doesnt have the recess for the bottom protrusion on the 6 speed box. This is not common installation. I think I am gong to machine one the right thickness out of a bit off ally plate. Ritchie

Jason Plato
I suspect that Aldon Automotive would have the parts you require . They are based in Bromsgrove and did the conversion on John Palmers Westy for a 1700 puma with a type 9 box / bellhousing Dave C7 TOP Powered by Hellier Performance 😬 Now updated
owlscastle
It is the Aldon bellhousing I have that is the problem. It is fine for a type 9 box but doesnt have the extra recess to clear the additional plate on the front of the 6 speed box.
