bl0498
I am sure this must be a simple query for all you techies..! New 1600 K series EU3 engine (dry sumped). Changed the oil at 600 miles and when checking the oil filter wasn't leaking any oil after the change I noticed that oil seems to be weeping out from a large allen keyed bolt/grubscrew underneath just in front of the filter housing and behind what looks like the oil pressure sender. Carefully checked this bolt and it looks tight - without forcing it. What is this bolt and what have I done wrong - and how do I fix it !!!??? - I don't think it was leaking oil from here before I changed the oil/filter - but I can't be sure. Now running on Syner-g after run-in on GTX mineral based oil. Help please! Many thanks, Brian
tony isherwood
Only suggestion I can come up with is to use some PFTE plumbers tape on the threads. MAKE SURE THE TAPE DOES NOT GET INTHE OIL WAY.
