ChrisJ
According to the Caterham build manual I need a 9/16" drill for the central hole for the indicator repeaters on my cycle wings. Belive ot or not I'm having trouble finding one ! Can you drill out to 1/2" and then file without 'splitting' the wing ? Thanks Chris J
bl0498
Chris, The simple answer to your question is yes - but be careful with the filing - use a reasonable sized round file and go very gently. When drilling the holes cover the area to be drilled in masking tape to minimise drill bit drift and cracking. Incidentally I found that when I mounted the repeater bases on the wing that they curved a little taking on the profile of the wing. This then caused a minor problem when putting on the lens which needed to locate at one end and wasn't happy with the curvature when you needed to screrw in the screw at the opposite end. A little bit of loosening the repeater base and adjusting the lens securing tab was required...! Brian
