evoness
Posted on behalf of a mate of mine... 2002 Ducati 998s 6,000 miles Red All standard S bits plus... 56mm Termignoni exhaust (full system). Exceptionally loud and spits flame on the overrun! Lightened flywheel Carbon huggers Monoposto and biposto seat units included Custom cover Best call for full spec... Just had new clutch, chain, sprocket and rear tyre Looking for OIRO £9k, but what he REALLY wants is an X-flow. Ideally he wants to trade. This is far and away the most violent bike I have ever ridden. The fastest, sexiest and noisiest bar none. Supposedly has 147rwbhp - the pull between 8 and 11k rpm is savage. Makes my GSXR750 feel limp. Shrinking violets need not apply... Call Dan on 07941 292 593 Located C. London Oh, and Merry Xmas everyone
evoness
Just to clarify - this 2002 model bike uses the Testastretta engine from the 999, but still in the iconic 916/996/998 shape... Purrfect! He may also be interested in an Elise...
Peter Lydford
I have an S1 Elise, and may be interested in a deal if the deal is good, i.e the bike and cash for my Elise, e-mail me for details/pictures of the Elise. peter.lydford@btinternet.com Cheers Peter
normalbloke.29
147 on the rear wheel... Blimey, that's err, good for a duke.........Must have had other work done surely!
evoness
Normalbloke: Indeed 147rwbhp seems high, especially for a twin. I know bhp arguments go on for ever on here and frankly they bore me to tears - perhaps I shouldn't have put that in - I just wanted to convey how quick this thing is and it's the figure I was told. I don't know full spec, but it has had about 5k spent on it. Peter - best bet is to call Dan and have a chat. He may well be interested... If I had the ability, I would buy this like a shot. But I'm a realist... ☹️ (and it scares me)
Wozzap
147 hp at the rear wheel is entirely possible. A 749R with race kit would produce >140hp at the rear wheel from the short stroke motor. The JHP British Supersport bike had >145hp. Whist this has a Testastretta engine it is the long stroke 998 engine fitted to the 03/04 999 and 999S. Sounds a great spec, just wish I had something to trade for it. Edited by - Wozzap on 23 Dec 2004 07:37:
