Had arranged for him to phone from the pub at the bottom of the Snake so I could go and get him. Got up at 8 to wash and valet it. Spent 2 hours cleaning, including getting up a ladder to do the roof. He doesn't show. So I go up the pub for a sarnie, come down to watch the footie when at 2pm he ring to say he's late and "where exactly do you live". He's not come over the Snake but has crossed Woodhead Pass instead (thought that was the Snake) and is an a village called Midhopestones. Told him to follow the signs and I would watch out for him. Duly arrives with wife and 2 of the 4 kids.
