Hmmm - pondering the install of the next beastie in my car.

Got the engine, wiring loom, ecu, immobiliser, plipper, apollo tank, samco hoses, senders, temp sender for rad, heater matrix....

What else is on anyone's list for ultra reliability - a new baffle was suggested...

Can't - budget won't stretch and I need to keep it as "standard as possible".... Pity. Though dave hard is going this route with his car - ditching the VHPD and going Duratec - maybe when this engine fails I will look at it. (When I've won the lottery maybe)

Duratecs in themselves aren`t any more expensive than a K....it`s all the bits needed to fit one.

If you already have a K then you have to sell / ditch all your current stuff and buy new.

If you are starting from scratch then they are both around the same cost although you will tend to get more power for your money with a duratec.

The other issue is that there are very few of them out there so second hand offcasts are few and far between.

I`ve seen the future.....and it`s powered by duratec Check out the website here
