Eddie White
Hi chaps, I have a pair of 415 3 phase saws in my workshop, Think they are ex plastics industry, but probably equally good for wood. £10 the pair collected for whoever rings/comes first. Tel 01773 713300 daytimes, located Heanor, Derbyshire. J26 M1.

Sheds Moderator
Thanks Eddie, sold to Battered's Dad. One phone call from me and the job was done. There will now be a short intermission while the buyer works out how to source a replacement single phase motor to fit the things...cue some interesting tinkering over Christmas. Don Cook
You can get a phase convertor to convert single phase 240 v to 3 phase. The one I have can give any output frequency between 0.1 hz and 400 hz so within reason you can set any speed you want.
Sheds Moderator
Thanks Don. My Dad actually has one but it's connected to the miller in another workshop. In point of fact, he's always bitching about its performance with the converter under light loads so maybe he'd be better fitting a 220V motor to the miller and using the converter on the saw. Given that there are 2 I rather fancied the other one for myself if we can make it go.
