allen
Re: the thread on new wheels, offered in De-Dion or Live Axle, format, I have a live axle with Ford rear axle, i.e. Ford PCD all round,so assume I need the De-Dion type? Does anyone actually know what the offset is? AFAIK my current wheels are standard. Is the offset on both fitments the same? I would like to increase the track a little at the rear. If I go for 7X13 at the rear where does the extra inch go relative to the offset, all inside, all outside or a split? Thanks in advance, allen
stevefoster
4.25" for FORD. PCD stands for Pitch Circle Diameter.
allen
Sorry Steve, and thanks for trying, but I knew that, I wanted to know: 1.Is offset the same on Live Axle & De-deon fitments? 2.What is the offset on 7 inch width wheels? Thanks, allen
Mike Bees
According to the 1997 build manual, offsets for all standard Caterham wheels (5.5x13, 6x13, 6x14, 6.5x15 & 6x16) are 19mm negative offset with the exception of 6.5x15 which are 13mm negative offset. No difference in offsets between live axle & De Dion. Mike
