Myles
PP ☹️ My initial measurements were correct - I removed the butterfly as Mav suggested just before he left. 48mm* I'm afraid. Either someone has pinched the real one, or that engine is a bit suspect... Personally, given the apparent age etc. of the engine - the rust on the tb spring suggests to me that it might have been swapped... Regds, Myles *honest. Keep BC free and open for ALL. Myles
Maybe a bit more investigation into VVCs is needed. I saw a comment on one of the tb's currently on e-bay suggesting that the original VVCs had placky 48's - either it's been swapped, or the engine is older than claimed (purely in age terms rather than mileage, I mean...) Get the engine-number checked.... Keep BC free and open for ALL.
