Dry Sump question

Mark,

I don't know for sure, but Caterham only offer one dry sump kit for the K-series (there is a separate kit for Vauxhall and another for Crossflow) so I think it is the engine that determines the bell housing rather than the gearbox. This is futher reinforced by the fact that they offer a lightweight ali bellhousing (for wet sump as an upgrade) that is independent of gearbox. I am sure that the Caterham 6 speed is derived from the ford type 9 and therefore they used the same mounting pattern.

Thanks Steve, I've already got a Pace on my current 6 speed car and very nice it is too - but I may be able to get a Caterham system for a good price for my next car, but that assumes that it will fit a 6 speed 'box (the new car is a VX but fitted with a 6 speed 'box y'see)
