ECU's, Omex 700 series in particular

I have a good friend who is looking for stockists of these ecus, mappable but somewhere he can just buy one to get mapped elsewhere.

 

Has anyone any experience of these? It's for a 172 cup on throttle bodies, I believe being done up to race spec.

not an ECU, bout I bought a set of omex shift lights direct from OMEX

 

they where very friendly and helpful and it arrived on time etc

 

they did say there was no discount if I bought direct tho ☹️

Having tried to stitch me up on the distribution of widebands they are on my blacklist. They tried to set dealer price higher than my sale price..and failed.

Yup, very pleased with it.

 

We have some more work to do (once I've got the head back and the engine rebuilt) but it has made a big difference to the driveability of the old crossflow.

 

I'm not an expert but the Omex 700 looks to be very well made with good potential for updates and Omex are helpful to deal with. Only downside is that they are usually v. busy and the 700 is still being developed, so if you want things like traction control you may have to wait until the appropriate software has been developed.

 

I'd recommend them though, based on my experience.
