BM
I'm not sure weather this has been mentioned previously, but would it be an idea if somewhere a list of parts, chassis numbers, ehgine numbers etc of any items known to have been stolen was available. That way if anyone is offered items, or say looking at purchasing a car then they can easily check if any history exists?
Myles
Unlikely to be that effective - but why not get in contact with the clubs' archivist (John Lyons???) Check Low Flying for details - something tied in with Caterham's central register might work better, but... ...chassis and engine numbers should be traceable through HPI/RAC/etc. history checks. Then again, I've just ground the engine number off the k-series unit I'm about to install in my 7 - otherwise the starter won't fit! So, not much point in trying to trace that... ❗ Project Scope-Creep is underway...
