John E
Come on you lot, where is the wiring info for my electric fan. Thats the one fitted to the car not the one warming my feet in the office. Edited by - John E on 20 Mar 2000 12:25:
Chris Faulbaum
The wiring diagram is included in the complete car diagrams in the owners manual and in Tony Weales book. It's a simple circuit, what problem are you having ?
John E
At the moment the fan is controlled by an on/off switch on the dash. That part is simple but I want it to come on automatically in response to temperature rise. I have the handbook but it shows the above. The motor is a 1700 crossflow. Chris Faulbaum
I just read your original message. There should be a boss for a thermostatic switch in the alluminum thermostat housing. There needs to be one power wire to that switch if you have a switch, if not you need one. From the second post on that switch the wire should go to the input side of the fan, where the wire from your toggle switch is going now. The other fan wire goes to ground. John E
Thanks Chris. I will soon be armed with wire, crimpers and connectors.
