Steve Fleming
Any suggestions on the best product for cleaning unpainted carbon fibre? Windolene and white spirit have been proposed.
Slipper man
I find that polishing with Autoglym resin polish does the job beautifully

CHRIS CLARK
I find 'surgical spirit' as from the chemist is v. good at getting sticky marks off the stone chip protectors.
Ian Noble
Steve, Try smothering the nose cone with baby oil and thrashing it with a large branch Basil Fawlty style. This may be more strenuous than applying Autoglym, but the oil will give it a superb gloss finish!
New Boy
A word of caution! Carbon fibre is U.V. degradable and where it may look nice it should be painted. I know that after spending all that dosh on saving weight it is a shame not to show it off, the alternative is to have it sprayed with a good quality Yacht Varnish with U.V. filters. Then polish it with a normal G.R.P. polish, without silicon!
