Normans_Ghost
Nigel, It's a nice shiny engine, very, very shiny. being serious for a minute, I think the K is like a little jewel, it's so compact, and, in your case, so shiny. If you need a crane and there's not one nearer there's one here if you want to pop up and get it. V7 SLR
Mick, scavenge is a Caterham one. Norm, a kind local chap has offered to lend me his crane/hoist, but thank you kindly for the offer. Tim, am thinking about running without a bonnet. It's such a PITA to cut the holes for the inlet, and you just can't see all the shiny parts with the bonnet on.
timbo
You'll be wanting mesh for the trumpets then as opposed to air socks or a filter 😬 Emerald Isle's 1st SV 148lbft @ 6091rpm and 182bhp @ 6900rpm of cheese power
V7 SLR
Getting excited about putting it all back into the car tomorrow, even though it won't be running for a good while yet (waiting parts).

V7 SLR
I'll be there. Might be a little late.
V7 SLR
Yes. It's in..!! Thanks to David Voas for the loan of the hoist (looks like I'm out of town until later in the week, but I'll call as promised) and to the rest of the "Engine In" crowd who are very experienced at the whole event now (having done at least 6 now). We're available for hire if anyone wants a pain-free "engine in" experience. 😬 Still a fair bit to do before I can attempt a start-up. I'm hoping only one more weekend day plugging things back in and sorting the plumbing (once the Samco's turn up), the manufacture of the throttle body spacers and cutting the bonnet hole to suit and I'll be there... just in time for Winter weather.
