Used oil/petrol barrel

Hi

I have some 10l of old hydraulic oil.

I'm looking for an used oil/petrol barrel which I could used to transport this oil to my local dumping ground.

Take a drive aroudn some industrial sites - no doubt lots get thrown away .

 

I have some containers here you can have if all else fails and the means for oil disposal

Initial suggestion would be to try some local garages or motorcycle shops. They should have plenty of suitable containers which get binned. They would probably be only too glad to get rid of a container as well.

Go to your local cheapo supermarket, the sort where the soapdodgers go to stock up on lager first thing in the afternoon before going home to watch telly for the day, and buy their cheapest lemonade in 2 or 3L bottles. These cost around 10p a bottle. Throw the mixture of citric acid and artificial sweeteners down the sink and use the empty bottles. It's cheaper than the petrol used in trawling industrial estates.
