Engine removal with apollo

Drain the oil, then you can just undo the pipes from the tank and remove the tank - everything else stays on the engine.

Be careful when removing the pipes from the tank as it is very thin metal and easily bent.

Gareth

I haven't removed it on a number of recent removals/ refits, saves draining the oil etc.

Just undo the retaining strap and twist it upwards untill it rests on the cam cover (I normally cable tie it to the air intake to hold it there)

The only reason for moving it is to allow enough forward movement for the engine to come out
