Delberts Wallet
The engine is coming out so I can replace the CRB. Is there anything special I need to think about when disconnecting the apollo tank. Do I undo the pipes or just remove the sandwich plate? Support Team Shaun_E Posted October 25, 2004 Support Team Share Posted October 25, 2004 Drain the oil, then you can just undo the pipes from the tank and remove the tank - everything else stays on the engine. Be careful when removing the pipes from the tank as it is very thin metal and easily bent. F355GTS
Gareth I haven't removed it on a number of recent removals/ refits, saves draining the oil etc. Just undo the retaining strap and twist it upwards untill it rests on the cam cover (I normally cable tie it to the air intake to hold it there) The only reason for moving it is to allow enough forward movement for the engine to come out Mark
