Jenson Button Posted October 21, 2004 Share Posted October 21, 2004 Just about to buy a 1.6 Superlight which is currently fitted with ACB-10's. I want to change these to CR500's for the winter asap so am going to order some prior to picking the car up. Does anyone know the correct tyre size for the Superlight on 13" rims? Is 185/60 R13 correct? Also, any other adjustments to suspension or anything required for swapping between the two types of tyre? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
rgrigsby Posted October 21, 2004 Share Posted October 21, 2004 there's only one size CR500 available for 6"' wheels I think it's 175/55R13 but if you talk to Avon direct they will be able to tell you. CC recommend that you need to change the De Dion ears on the rear suspension of the car. Do a search in Tech Talk for all the details. F355GTS Posted October 21, 2004 Share Posted October 21, 2004 ACB10's are better if run on .25 ears as they are crossplys, CR500's are radial and would therefore would normally be run on 1.5 degrees ears, however many have commented on here that they run CR500's on the .25 ears with no ill effects to handing or wear Mark Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
