Slider7
Maybe a stupid question, ... but could somebody tell me what's the best way to store a (extra) set of wheels (with tyres) during winter Can I just leave them on the floor ... or should I put something between the floor and the wheels (my garage isn't heated, but temperature never drops below 10°C even when it's freezing outside) ? Can I put the 4 wheels on top of each other ? Thanks ... Edited by - Slider@7 on 10 Oct 2004 23:15:

Ken Sailor
If you want to know how to bake a cake, ask a baker. If you want to know how to store tires, ask a tire maker here Ken Sailor

stevefoster
I wrap my slicks in cling film to further prevent drying out. Same would apply to any soft compound tyre. Note the tyre maker talked about low air circulation - for just the drying / hardening reason. Hang em on the wall too.
