Paul McKenzie
Urgent fire sale of 1500 (one thousand, five hundred)off K series head gaskets due to cancellation of spares order by Caterham Cars. Originally intended as spares to cover their annual production run 😳. Any reasonable offer considered, although approaches from Nestle or Cadbury will be rejected  JT Edited by - John Towers on 7 Oct 2004 16:39:
Sheds Moderator
😬 1500 a year? That enough? They sell 600 cars a year, that's got to be running close... Have you tried Dairy Crest and St Ivel?
Paul McKenzie
Two a year will be plenty  We've even found that some (low mileage) engines in cars that seldom leave the garage (many Caterhams) can last a full year on a single head gasket 😬. JT Edited by - John Towers on 7 Oct 2004 17:29:

CHRIS CLARK
Seriously, my MG ZS 120 (1800 'K') got to 89,000 miles before head gasket finally went (on way back from Lotus 7 Club Area Organisers annual meeting!). I'm told that this is exceptional!!! Normally, they go long before that rather like the guy in the garage at the same time as me who had his MG F blow it's gasket at 4,000 miles. Clamshell Club Founder Member. Edited by - CHRIS CLARK on 7 Oct 2004 22:25:24 Edited by - CHRIS CLARK on 8 Oct 2004 15:53:
