Normans_Ghost
I think you may have better luck with Club Lotus. If you don't get an answer here email me with your address and I'll send you a copy of Club Lotus mag to ring round the advertisers. It may be worth posting this on chit chat as well. norman verona, 1989 BDR 220bhp, Mem No 2166, the full story here
Ken Sailor
There's some info here There was a California S4 owner who was also putting together a parts list. He posted on BlatChat not that long ago. Worth a search. Ken Sailor
andycox
Tony Weale's book Lotus Seven Restoration, Preparation, Maintenance i think gives an insite to the source of some of these parts. Good luck Driving on the left side 😬

Sheds Moderator
Re master cyl, if you take the old one to a decent motor factor they will usually be able to get the codes off it and identify it in the catalogues. Chances are it came off something boring from the late 60s, or if you're lucky a Mini and in any case replacement/exchange/rebuild will be available. Nigel Riches
...the rear axle was from a Ford Escort, don't know which model, 1982. 5 speed, clamshells. B.R.G / Ali. The True Colours.
paul w
Bizarre! Where did my posting go? I found most of the parts on he gglotus site parts list and listed them!
paul w
Aha! Same question posted elsewhere! The answers to many of those questions are in Tony Weale's excellent book. There is also a good resource for parts info at: http://www.gglotus.org/ggpart/sevenxref.htm Rear brake shoes - From gglotus site - (Girling 64937096LK {Capri 2000 Rear}) Handbrake lever and cable - I'm going out on a limb here and predicting that the correct answer for lever will be Renault R16 - the same as the Europa. Cable will probably be bespoke. Speedo cable - Should be a ford item as it is a 2000E box to a Smiths speedo Bonnet catch - The ubiquitous rubber units that you can buy from any car parts place, under bonnet catch - no idea sorry. Front side lights - I believe someone in our club (NZ) sourced some from Redline recently Sidescreen twist & turn catches - I bought some last year, sourced from Redline Brake master cylinder - From gglotus site - Girling 64067651 ARB front shocks - from gglotus site - Spax S 195-620 (Europa S2) front springs & rating [pounds] ciggy ash tray Redline components, http://www.redlinecomponents.co.uk/main.htm
bonzz
Thanks for all the replies, I can confirm Front sIdelights are from Triumph TR4-4a-5 Nice one on the handbrake lever - anyone know where I can source this? guess there ain't too many R16's left, they were real rotters!! Anybody know the front spring ratings??
Bare
Try a Fuego r17 or even 18i more or less the same Mech bits, those are newer so hopefully a bit easier to source Spring rates : Front..100lbs/inch Rear.. 72 lbs/inch From the Lotus Workshop Manual, and as you may have noticed the ride is not exactly 'plush'. Now that really makes one wonder why some are using Silly stiff rates.. in their 7's
bonzz
thanks for spring rates, never noticed them mentioned in the 7 manual, guess I need to wear my glasses more! you're absolutely right though regarding the ratings - suit the car perfectly that's why i didn't want to uprate the existing springs, merely fit shiny new ones!
