If there are other interested parties (Franky, Darren, Darren F, Tony R) looking for DVA to work his magic at some point I can deliver parts this w/e.

Please contact me ASAP to arrange 07944 648926

In my opinion, the best option for doing this would be to have the head ported too, so to break the costs down a little;

Valves - £300 new or from another head (scrap VVC head for example £75ish)

springs - £90ish single Piper springs

collets - not much or use existing from your head

caps - not much or use existing from your head

follower - linish existing ones

cams - £300ish (Piper 285 would be a good start)

gasket kit - £75

verniers - £140ish

re-map - £300?

Quick and dirty port - £250

You'd be wise to fit some forged pistons at this state of tune (£500 ish and new big end bearings ~ £50) although others leave the bottom end stock.

It can be done much cheaper using reliable second hand parts to populate the head but the choice is yours. You've already got the bodies, ECU and exhaust ... this should see you on the right side of 200bhp for not a lot of money. *cool*

Yes Andrew, I do still have heads available.

I've tried to email you direct but your address has been rejected.

Email me a phone number and I'll give you a call.

I'm just putting together one of these heads I bought from Tom last year, Dave Andrews did a quick port on it for me. The plan is to map it using a wideband lambda sensor and the MBE ECU I have........(so if anyone has a sensible base map for this (285h cams, roller barrel tb's, vhpd head, I'd appreciate a shout), so far it is proving an intersting project. I'll post some pictures when I get a few minutes!

Oh, and cheers Tom, the head looks great!

A friend has a fantastic MBE/R400 map he paid about 500 quid for (2 rolling road sessions) with a head spec similar to yours (I think - although I'm not sure about your cams).

He's not too keen on giving it away but if someone wanted to see his car go, its great road manners etc then offer him an incentive for a copy of his map...

Let me know if interested.
