Robin and Sarah
Anybody got or know a source for a live axle chassis? (other than an expensive new one from Caterham!)I've accumulated that many parts intending to build a replica that I might aswell build the real thing
mav
Arch? They build the chassis for caterham i believe
EFA
No chance. Supplying a cheap chassis out of the back door is not a practice Arch will give any consideration to. Buy one full price from Caterham. That way you will not undermine the value of other Sevens. Andrew Russell
I seem to recall that Eddie White had a chassis for sale a while back, although don't remember if it was L/A or D/D......check out his website at here Might be worth a call? mav
Arnie, I'm not suggesting that they pass cheap chassis out the back door. I Thought that they, like many other manufacturing co's may sell the same products direct!
EFA
Mav, I understand your point, and would pint out I was mearly clarifying that Arch do not supply chassis direct at any price. I am more concerned that the postings here recently asking for alternative sources of chassis, drawings etc., are in my opinion against the spirit of Caterham ownership. Most of Caterhams suppliers are under a contract which prevents them form selling any product direct. Arch will, if you have a repairable chassis repair it so long as it has the chassis plate on it. In effect this protects all owners of real Caterhams from serious depreciation. Yes Caterham make good margins, but thats probably why they are still innovative and in business. mav
I agree. Good job they repair official Caterham chassis though, judging by the state yours was in!! Are you going to the Meet at Oulton on the 18th?
