QED full race spec engine with QED throttle bodies producing around 250 bhp. just 400 miles of road use since rebuild. Rebuild consisted of new pistons, rebore, new bottom end bearings, new valves, gaskets etc ~£1500 spent on rebuild

Omega pistons

Arrow steel rods

farndon steel crank

Light weight steel flywheel

Twin plate AP clutch

ARP flywheel bolts

REC wasted stem valves (overesized)

Twin valve springs

Lightweight solid lifters

Vernier pulleys

Q450 cams

Fully ported head

QED throttle bodies and fuel rail

MBE management and loom

Caterham dry sump system including bellhousing with tank.

I believe cost new now for this set up is inexcess of 10000 from QED web site.

Looking for £4000.

Guys, having brought a donor engine for nearly this money and ended up spending in-excess of the sum below ( the higher one ) this is a bargain if you are going VX.

The upgrade from x-flow to VX can be quite straight forward and with all the steel in this engine it should be bullet proof.

The exhaust will be on the same side of the car, and it is a period engine for a significant Caterham population.

Good luck with the sale, looks a bargain in comparison with building one !
