neil.cavanagh
Ross, From my experience of E39 there are a few things it MUST have in my book... auto-windscreen wipers. Sat-nav. (full professional one with maps and TV..) Hands-free kit. at least business radio (as standard one is virutally impossible to upgrade and sounds crap). Hi-fi (or better speakers). Xenon lights Mine is missing the last 4 and they are a git to try and add afterwards... But overall, very nice cars....
rossybee
This has all the above except sat nav & hands free 😬 Which are a nice-to-haves but not really a need-to-haves in my book 😳 Rrrrrrrrossssssssssssssssssssss THE Sssssssssssssssssssssssscottish Sssssssssssssssssssssssssssnot!!! 😬
Delbert
Both easy after market fits specially a hard wired Hands free mine fits with no wires or "silly" vent clips and looks right Ok not concealed in Glove box but does come through all 6 speakers. After market GPS means for a 12v addition to the 7 you can have GPS whilst you bblat. It solves the where have I ended up question When you realise the worlds not nice just drop your pants and slide on the ice!!!
rossybee
😬 But neither are 'that' important to me... I know how to work a map / I've got a tongue in ma heed to ask directions & if someone calls me, I pull over / call 'em back Rrrrrrrrossssssssssssssssssssss THE Sssssssssssssssssssssssscottish Sssssssssssssssssssssssssssnot!!! 😬
neil.cavanagh
Ross, I'm pretty good with maps (geography degree helped there) but do find that onboard GPS is a revelation. THe number of times I've been cruising along to hit horrible traffic. Bring up the GPS map whilst still moving... see possible detour... fly off in that direction and avoid jams! And flying solo in a seven and trying to navigate off paper maps is virtually impossible, without lots of stopping and thumbing through trying to find place. BUT your "I've got a tongue in ma heed to ask directions" just confirms what we have all thought.. you can't be a real man if you are willing to ask for directions. Its just not done!! I mean, thats even worse than reading the gadget manual BEFORE you've broken it, or trying to start up a converstaion at the urinal!!
rossybee
One MAJOR point. You refer to "avoiding jams" I LIVE IN SCOTLAND! - WTF is a jam? Something you spread on yer piece*? *Scottish for sandwich *tongue* Rrrrrrrrossssssssssssssssssssss THE Sssssssssssssssssssssssscottish Sssssssssssssssssssssssssssnot!!! 😬
neil.cavanagh
try the A9 heading out of perth towards inverness at around 11am on most saturdays!!! 😬 😬 good to see you are no longer in denial over the lady like properties of asking directions though.. rossybee
The trick is: Find a lady to ask (the easier on the eye, the better ) 11am Sat, I am either at work or collecting little miss bee from "funfit" Perth can be a bit of a bu99er during football traffic though... I have the added bonus of travelling to/from work in the opposite direction of the Dundee "rush hour" if it could remotely claim that handle Rrrrrrrrossssssssssssssssssssss THE Sssssssssssssssssssssssscottish Sssssssssssssssssssssssssssnot!!! 😬
neil.cavanagh
oh ar8e. you made it through the complex junction *mad* I do admit that I love driving in jockland when you get norf of the built up southern bit. In 1000+ miles of blatting in April I didn't see 1 scamera or BiB or was held up by a plebshed, or numpty for more than 10 seconds. Heaven... 😬 😬 AND the weather was nice *thumbup*
