Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted September 27, 2004 Area Representative Share Posted September 27, 2004 BTW what does IRS stand for except the Inland Revenue Service? If the latter what are they doing in your car? Forgive me I am in the UK, so the Americanisms are lost on me.
Blockhead
GJT, Independent Rear Suspension. You really should get out more you know . IRs has been a common abbreviation in motoring circles for many many years especially in the Caterham v W*******d debate. There ain't half been some clever bastards... griffithsca
I.R.S. ----- independent rear suspension ...... think it was a phrase that us English came up with before the Americans ..... but that could start a topic all on its own ! Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted September 28, 2004 Area Representative Share Posted September 28, 2004 Blockhead you're probably right. It's always live axle on mine and never abbreviated! I often feel that abbreviations make life more difficult rather than simpler. The classic is ISTR: I seem to remember OR It stands to reason? Check the context (ie read it again)
